DEVELOPER, Berkeley Homes held an open evening on Friday, (9/12), concerning its plans for the Rycotewood site in Thame.
In essence the plan is for 101 units, 40% being affordable homes, a public open space, an extension to the Cuttlebrook Nature reserve on the north-west side of Oxford Road and financial contributions to education and transportation measures. The plan makes no provision for community facilities on the site as was hoped for by many community groups in the town.
Apparently, representatives at the event made it clear that a planning application would be submitted before Christmas, which leaves a 28 day consultation period, including the Christmas break.
