THE Christmas spirit arrived on Friday for a group of Thame’s senior citizens, when they were treated to a Tea Party at Thame Football Club, hosted by Thame Rotary, the town council and Thame Inner Wheel.
Entertainment was provided by pupils from St Joseph’s Primary School Choir and a former Mayor of Thame, now an SODC councillor, Jeannette Matelot Green played the piano, and ‘Father Christmas himself turned up, despite being very busy!
Peter Hook, President of the Rotary Club of Thame, said: “The event was a great success with approximately 80 Senior Citizens attending a very special afternoon. We are grateful to Sainsbury’s and the Co-operative for providing food, the Inner Wheel of Thame for preparing the tea and everyone else for helping.”
