THE funeral of popular local butcher, Chris Wren, took place yesterday, Thursday, July 13, at Ludgershall church.
Chris, who lived at Brill and ran the butcher’s shop in Buttermarket, Thame, was officially recognised for his good-natured service and helpfulness, when he was voted for by the public, to receive the ‘Service with a Smile’ award at last May’s Thame Town Awards, held at the Barns Centre.
Chris’s death came at the end of an 11 year battle with cancer.
