FOLLOWING the presentation given by the Thame Climate Alliance at the Thame Town Council meeting last week, June 18, although a motion asking the council to declare a Climate Emergency was lost (see report), the council has nontheless now called the promised internal meeting of Councillors and Officers.
This meeting is aimed at starting to put together a set of suggested actions and steps in response to the effects of the changing climate; actions which, the council has stated: “We are able to take, within our powers, beyond that which is being done already.”
