The advise from animal welfare groups is to bring guinea pigs or rabbits into a cool room, eg a conservatory during the wintry conditions. If that is not possible, cover their hutch with a blanket, check drinking water regularly to make sure it is not frozen, and make sure they have extra hay to eat and to sleep in and keep warm.
